Why does our society say that girls cant like sex but guys can brag and boast as much as they like. I happen to really enjoy sex with guys and girls and am not ashamed to admit it so why should I be made to feel as if there is something wrong with me. I respect everbody's beliefs and faiths and dont judge people so why is there so much negativity toward girls who happen to enjoy having sex?

you carry on enjoing yourself babe, society has evolved with too many do gooders, the values that have been drumed into people have become normal and because you seem to be different you pose a threat so thay frown on your honesty, this doesnt mean there is anathing wrong with your actions just that society dont know how to handle people like you. try to ignore, just enjoy your life, good luck.

It's not wrong for girls to admit liking sex.

There's generally a negative reaction to anybody jumping up and waving a flag and shouting through a megaphone about their sexuality.

You said,"I respect everbody's beliefs and faiths...." but the one belief that you haven't respected is that maybe we don't want to have your sex life shoved in our faces. You have no reason to be ashamed or proud of your sex life, if you were either, you should see a therapist. It is what it is so enjoy it.

I don't think people are judging you or giving you a negative vibe because of your enjoying sex. It's because you make it public knowledge. You'll find that most of us are equally irritated by moronic men that talk about sex all the time as well. It's really boring.

As for society saying it? It doesn't. It doesn't know what you do until you tell it.

The other option is: Maybe it's you judging you, not society.

It seems to just be something that has been brought into society and has never really left. You can call it puritism from when the country was settled if you like. In other countries, such as Europe and Japan, sex is not such a huge taboo. Too bad the US is behind in those beliefs, it would make it easier for parents to relate to their children the importance of safe sex without as much discomfort as there is, and maybe even promote safe sex more by not having to hide advertisements for condoms on late-night television.

And by the way, I'm from a small town, and see, I'm not a biggot ;)

Society in general and some of the rules it applies to people, can have a very powerful effect. Generally guys feel they need to brag about how much sex they have because it somehow proves their manhood and their virility. Women, are told by society that an open interest in sex will brand them a **** or a loose woman. I don't understand it either!

There's nothing wrong with women liking sex. This would be a sad life if we didn't LOL. However, it's not right for anyone, men or women, to brag about it. Especially, if it's with someone they care about. You worry too much about what society thinks. Maybe you're being judged if you tell people about it. A lot of people are uncomfortable talking and/or hearing about it. We're conditioned that it's not lady-like.

Because even after 400 years we still haven't gotten over or puritanical heritage. As a women not being afraid to admit behavior society says is unacceptable is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately many of the guys who read this read this are going to be rude and vulgar. The responses you receive as a group may be the best answer to your question. Good luck, and let me apologize for the male gender in advance.

The UK in particular, still has a Victorian attitude at times, yet if one really looks at the people there, many are such hypocrites! There is so many examples of 'double standards' where they like to think they are forward thinking and expressive and open about things, yet the reality is that they can be so far up their own a***s and contradictory. One only has to look at the news from yesterday about the Scottish MP who took the News of the World to court and won, because they had gone into detail about his sexual preferences, what business is it of theirs and what does it have to do with his abilities in the parliamentary debate? So what if he likes to 'swing' a little, that is a growing interest amongst the Brits, so they really need to get off their moral high horses and admit what they really like!
Good for you girl, that you can express what you like, and don't let them stop you!

The double standard is based on biology and social history. For thousands of years the situation was this:

A woman knows her child is her own and wants to take care of it.

A man does not know for sure that the child is his and does not want to take care of another man's child. So he prefers a woman who doesn't have sex with every man she meets.

The fact that we have birth control today doesn't change the fact that our deepest thoughts were formed during thousands of years of human history when there was no birth control.

You assume wrong if you think that people are comfortable with men who brag about sex. No one wants them around either.

Most people feel that sex is a private experience between two people and public boasting and bragging is not necessary.

i think some girls have a hard time getting intouch with their sexual needs, late bloomers. i just turned 39 and finally reached my peak. i used to think there was something wrong with me cuz i didn't ever crave sex like my friends talked about of coarse i enjoyed it when i was doing it, but i never initiated it, but now i masturbate all the time it's great and so is phone sex, so these girls will come around, no pun, and when they do some man will be very happy. i speak from expierince

You are just in the wrong part of society. The women I know all admit to liking sex, and even talk about what they like most. In some places women that admit to liking sex are considered loose, or slutty, but that is because of the narrow minded people who probably never get laid.
