Because that black fellow won and he did not want to give a &^$$#@& (*&^%# a medal.
Jesse Owens
Adolf Hitler had planned to use the event to show the supremacy of the German nation, especially concentrating on trying to prove that those not of Aryan race were of a lesser breed. Owens dispelled this myth with some of the finest displays of athletics ever, so confirming that black athletes could be as good, if not better, than other athletes. He won four gold medals at the games, breaking three records and tying another, and these records stood for at least twenty years. Into the bargain, he had shown Hitler's theories on Aryan supremacy to be totally twisted and unfounded.

Jesse Owens, a black American athlete, won 4 Gold Medals at these Olympics, which were held in Berlin in 1936, NOT 1935.
Stories vary on Owens’ own personal confrontation (or lack of one) with Hitler. Some sources say Hitler left the Olympic stadium due to rain after one of Owens’ wins. Another source says the German dictator was asked by Olympic officials to refrain from "congratulating" the event .
Either way Hitler refused to congratulate any Gold Medal winners other than Germans, so Owens was not alone in that. Hitler's leaving was often misinterpreted as being due to his vexation whenever a coloured athlete or Jewish one won anything, but I think the rain story is probably more plausible since, otherwise, Hitler would have left every time anyone other than a German won.

I am going to be a 'dumb a s s' (quoting you) and say Jesse Owens, for being so 'dumb' this time I actually read the answers first and then answered. I didn't bother researching it, didn't look at any 'image' - just assumed that all these really smart people here know what they are saying.
ps. in a previous question of yours (which I LOVED till most of us were insulted - SEX is not an unusual word. You did not say 'it is an unusual word on money' you just said it was unusual. You did not even comment on the word 'meatball' in the signature.
keep up the great questions and trivia - but try not to insult the ones who do not read the answers before answering themselves

it was 1936, all olympics are in even numbered years. His reason was because of Jesse Owens winning a gold medal. Imagine how he felt when a black athlete finished ahead of a white athlete on his own turf.

Hilter stormed out of the stadium because of Jesse Owens.
P.S. Too bad MLB did not let someone of Jesse Owen's hue and athletic skill join the major leagues.

It was 1936 (not 1935) and it was because Jesse Owens was ruining all of his fun by ourrunning Nazis.

it was for when he broke the long jump
Although the German champion, Lutz Long established a new Olympics record in the broad jump with a leap of 25 feet 9 27/32 inches, Owens "catapulted himself for the record distance of (8.06 metres) 26 feet 55/16 inches" and his third Olympics medal.

I believe it was 1936.
It's because of the athlete Jessie Owens (if I spelt his name right) winning many events, he was a black man and Hitler, being a white supremacist, didn't like it at all.
