Creating a website is not hard. Starting one is.

If you can write in any word processing package, then you will probably be able to create your own website and if you can attach a file to an email, then you've mastered the basics of uploading your file to a server.

For a webmaster and in my experience, the most difficult step in creating a website is NOT TO PROCRASTINATE. It is better to have a good website running that putting it off in order to get an excellent one which will never come.

You can always improve a website online and it is one thing that keeps people coming.

So plan, prepare, write and upload!!!! That's it.

There are sites where you can purchase a whole package, register.com for example, based in the US, easy to make a website starting at 5 pages for a few dollars, if I can do it, then anyone can! I had a 20 page website and did it all myself, easy!

Create your document is MS Word. Save it as HTML.

Get a domain register (verio.com, register.com, networksolutions.com) or find a free webhosting site (There are many)

Download an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software for transferring your files from your computer to the hosting computer. (WS FTP, Cute FTP are good one and trials are available)

Upload your files on destination (Either free site of registered one)

Check it from your browser.

Thats all.

It depends on how you want to create it. If you are a beginner (which I guess you are), try out website such as Freewebs and Piczo, they are extremely user-friendly beginner websites that allow you to build your own websites all for free.

But if you want to make a proper website such as Yahoo, IGN, bbc, I suggest you learn HTML and other computer languages.
