Goldfish need at least 20g for the first fish and then 10g per additional fish. This is because they produce a lot of ammonia in their waste and they get freaking huge as they age.

Have a strong filter to help combat the ammonia.

Do 25% water changes a week with a 50% water change once a month.

Use Start Right or another variety to dechlorinate your clean water before adding.

Feed a variety of foods. Goldfish flakes, brine shrimp, algea tablets, bits of cucumbers, etc.

Keep them at a temp between 62-70degrees f.

Don't mix any other type of fish (including plecos) in with them.

Good luck.

25% water change every 2 weeks minimum preferably every week ...make sure you use a water ager or de chlorinater also use ph test kit and keep ph at safe levels ( get from pet shop) feed everyday at least once but just a little never over feed them.. better to feed them a small amount a couple of times a day than feed them too much.. if there is a lot of left over food on the bottom of the tank the next day you are over feeding.. i feed my fish a mixture of fresh ox heart and gold fish flakes .. have filter and airline in tank ..dont over crowd tank with too many fish..

Goldfish are long living fish, average age is 10yrs, however they live upto 15-20 yrs. However it needs good care to reach that age.
Give them space, at least 10g per fish, good filteration, good oxygenation, weekly water changes, varied diet including both veg & non veg matters and there is no reason as to why your goldies will not live for 20 yrs.
