From what I know the universe was created from a single atom- this was the first existence. However why and more importantly what sparked of the beginning, no one will ever know. I think some kind of super natural higher power created the universe- something that's invisible and far beyond our imagination. The world will pass away in billions of years when the sun will eventually blow up and turn our world in to a ball of fire. Humans will no longer be but maybe evolution will start all over again and create other life forms.

I think the question should not be who but WHAT created the universe? As human beings we are fixated with this idea of someone being in overall control. This comes from our social structures and interdependancy on each other. We assign people to different levels and in that way our lives are somewhat controlled. When we think of larger issues are instinct is to project onto them this same framework and as such an idea of a god/gods or creator has evolved.

Perhaps it's time to think outside of this box. Does the universe exist at all outside of our own individual experience? Do we even really know what is outside of the front door unless we open that door and have a look?

Have your just read an answer created by someone sat in front of a PC or has this answer come into existance just for you?

The Elan Vital, or Life impetus. This unending indissoluble energy which creates synchronicity and the interaction or equilibrium of opposing forces. We might not know its purpose, it may not even have one, but we have seen it at work. It's all around us, pervading humans, animals, insects and plants. Some call it God, others universal soul. The only certainty is that it exists, otherwise we wouldn't be here asking and answering questions. It is still debatable if we still remain part of it when we die. It is also an issue of debate if this life energy is moral or amoral, meaning, outside the scope of good or evil.

Kermit the Frog... *jk* I think that a higher power created us all. With the right of free will we can destroy all of our natural resources, the water we drink and the ground we walk on. Then I wonder if the higher power will create a replacement or if he will find that we are unfixable- a hopeless cause and it all just goes away as quickly as it was created.

Course, how could I know?

The same force that created earth, nature. It is the only force that man cannot control. It washes us away like dust, it crushes us, blows us away. But it truly beautiful, it made our planet and all that exists outside our planet. People are energy so would exist still as energy.

God, by whatever name/gender...the great creator/artist - imagined the universe and made it just so.
