Not really. I love all music. Rock, Metal, Rap, Country, Techno, Pop, etc. etc. So I don't have a certain song or genre that I listen to that takes my mind away from my troubles.
Like, when I'm feeling down about women troubles I'll play Led Zeppelin's "Since I've Been Loving You" or some other blues song that speaks to the heartache. Or if I'm pissed off I'll listen to some Rage Against the Machine to express my anger. Or if I'm upset about the cultural problems in America I'll listen to Tupac's "Brenda's Got a Baby" or whatever and be comforted that I'm not the only one who sees how messed up things can be.

I'd say the great method to "gain knowledge of to love" a style of tune is to get in contact with the guts of the style itself. Watch a few films/documentaries handling a specific style or study the historical past and technical points in the back of it. I listen some of Josh Groban song cause it is so relaxing.
All his song are beautiful,but remember the rain is the one that i listen alots.:)

If I want to relax and like clam down angels and airwaves or something country...if I want to be mad or stay angery anything rock/metal....
