I've been a fan of River Phoenix since "Stand By Me". River Phoenix was a brilliant actor, with obvious talent and intelligence, a Vegetarian, an active member of PETA, and a non-drinker. How a man like this could end up dead on the sidewalk of a drug overdose, is beyond my comprehension.

I've always admired River, and thought he was great! and yes it was very sad when he died, and a bit confusing. I don't really have a favorite..i've enjoyed everything he's done.

I liked him in Stand By Me too. I also thought he made a good young Indiana Jones in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"
