why does my internet HISTORY only show today ?

Coz you have that setting in the control panel->internet settings->history box. Just change it and you can view the entire history.

I agree, change the setting of days to keep history to at least one, and don't forget to use your Favorites tab to keep sites you want to come back to.

it might be set to only 1 day.
