Ok, two types of body art spring to mind, the sort where paint is applied to the body and the photographed, this can be really beautiful as 'Art' and good fun too!
..and the other is Tattoo's, which I guess you can say is art, for a start it's too common place! Most are tacky and unattractive, so I would personally advice anyone to steer clear of these 'Tattoo's'.

are you talking tattoos? I see no problem w/ them as long as they are tasteful & don't consume a person's body. I think it's absolutely horrid looking when I see those people who have entire sleeves of tattoos...oh my. I believe a tattoo should be an expression of something that has meaning to you....and that you won't regret having or showing when you're like 75 years old. I myself have 1 tattoo so far. It's of a fully bloomed rose w/ a couple petals falling from it....the significance? My name is Rose :-) I want to get another that I saw somewhere but alter it a bit. It was a small heart w/ a lil tribal coming from it but I was going to put a big music note inside the heart because music is my life...i couldn't live w/out it. I'm constantly singing or humming regardless of my mood. I have a friend who has a big anchor on her shoulder...some people think it just looks bad but there is a meaning to it when you look at it. It's for her grandpa who was an extremely important person in her life. The anchor is cause he was in the Navy & then there's a ribbon across it that says "Pa Pa" (what she used to call him) & then it has his initials above the anchor. After she got it, it made her dad cry (in a good way) when he saw it cause that was his dad. When it comes to piercings...I think they are ok as long as they aren't too extreme. I am absolutely disgusted by people who do the gauging in their ears....what exactly is the purpose of HUGE holes in your EARS?! Facial piercings aren't that bad cause w/ some of them you can get a clear stud or something if you can't have it showing or don't want it to be. My bf has one of those for his labre...you can't see it in regular light cause of his facial hair & only see it if he gets anywhere near a blacklight. He has that piercing along w/ his eyebrow twice & his tongue & I think they are allll absolutely HOTTT because they look good on him along w/ his chin-length hair.

Its up to the individual I guess. I used to have my nose pierced, but my mother hated it (I'm 26 mind you!) so when I was sound asleep, she took it out & said it got lost. Then I had my navel pierced but I got sick of it getting caught on my clothes! Now, I have a tattoo, on my right shoulder. I love it & want more added to it, however, I don't want another one on another part of my body.
I think some men look gorgeous with their eyebrow pierced, others with their chin. Some with their tongue pierced. In saying that, I knew a girl who had her tongue pierced & she kept showing it off, rolling it around her lips, she just looked like a tacky ****, while others have it & dont announce it to the world & can pull it off. The look, not the piercing!!!
Sometimes I see people with piercings all over their face & wonder how the hell they think they are unique when so many others do it too?!?!?! There is lots of fantastic artistic tattoos you can get & alot of stunning pieces of piercings, as I said, its up to the individual.
Think I might go get my nose done again. Just to peeve of mother! hehehehehe
I think Emma Cheery should wake up to herself, she looks tacky without "these tattoos". Stupid small minded girl.
As for rere, dude, when your 80 years old, a tatt is most likely the best looking thing on your body!!! think about it man!!!!!!!

Have to agree with the other guy, tramp stamps. I had a tattoo done 11 years ago and hate it, looks so cheap, luckily it's only small on my back. Had my tongue and nose pierced about 10 years ago... you can take them out (and I did). You will probably regret it in a few years time. (God I sound like my dad)

If you're asking for someone elses opinion so you can decide whether or not you want a tattoo, then you shouldn't get one! I have three so far and never asked for permission or approval. I may end up hating them someday but it was my decision that I will have to live with.

There are different kinds of it- temporary and permanent. I've had henna tattoos before and they looked pretty cool. And I think small permanent tattoos look ok on others but I would never get one for my self- its not quite me!

As long as it doesn't cover the entire body, i guess its nice. One thing i cant stand is seeing fat chicks with tats on their lower back; they wear low riding pants to show off their hugh spare tires?? Not nice!
