Make sure to wear a good sports bra!! Otherwise, have fun! It's a great cardio work out. Try to jump on the fronts of your feet rather than the flat foot, b/c this reduces impact on the ankles/shins.

Now this could be very good for you, depending if you are fit or not.
If your over weight, then start by walking then build up a bit of speed over a month or two.
as when you skip you will have to make your body race your heart will not be used to it, and if your out of shape not fit you could hurt yourself. Warm up first prior to doing anything.

you R a woman at 26; skipping rope is great exercise. wear a sports bra.

skipping is a great exercise. just remember to wear a sport bra when skipping, this is to get a better support.

but 1 thing to take note, remember to start slow. as in start from like 100. then slowly build on it. dont be overambitious. it will tire yourself out and then you will not skip again.

Skipping rope will help you to remain healthy & generate greater stamina but be consistent &you will loose excessive weight.

It is a good form of exercise but remember don't overdo it. Any form exercise is not healthy if u overdo it. There is no side effect if u don't overdo it. If u overdo it, there is a possibility tt your knee can be injured.

you are ok in skip roping....great exercise..and jump roping helps keep the heart pumping good.

Don't overdo it. be aware of impact on ankles and the possibility of creating pendulous breast from no sports bra. If you expand your lung power, be consistent or your organs will sag like the body builders who stop thier regimen.
