War has always been butchery friend, but think about it.
Since the creation of nuclear weaponry, and the subsequent build up of arms in all major industrial nations, war between the world powers is impossible. The only wars we will now fight as a country are against other, smaller nations ie Iraq, who have no real chance of fighting back

You need to read a little history friend. There is more respect for humanity and less war now than in anytime in world history. Read about the casualties in the Greek and Persian wars, the Romans, The Crusaders, WW1, WWII. The 100 years war. The Mongols, etc. etc.. As bad as things are now, look back in time. Things were alot worse!
