Doesn't it seem like someone could come up with something better than windshield wipers? Not just better wipers, but something completely different! Any ideas?

like the mousetrap, there has been other ways but nothing as simple, reliable or easy to repair/maintain. Think about it, the space shuttle is the most complicated, advanced machine ever built for travel within the terrestrial environs yet it has the good old flippum floppem schmuckem schmeerers. I'm sure that the designers or contractors could have conned a few extra million if they had an alternative.

You would think that with the technology we have, we would, but they would rather do other things.
Why is it we can send a man to the moon, run cars on McDonald's grease, and we still have wipers? :)
