It depends on if they have a good reason. If they care about you, they may not like him because they're afraid he'll let you down or is unsuitable for you. If, on the other hand, they're fickle or jealous, then trust your own instincts.

mmmmmmmm well guess what...my friend doesnt like my husband. what am i supposed to do? divorce him? anyway she is now not talking to me..so u know what? im distancing myself from the problem. he is not perfect but i refuse to be torn in two so she has made her bed she can jolly well lie in it....ive got children there is no competition. stick with your boyfriend (unless she can justify the problem) and get a new friend. jealousy is a terrible thing and i reckon that s what the problem is.
live your life the way u want to live it not how your friends want u to live it. good luck.

Trust your friends, they know him well enough not to like him.
I have since learn to trust a woman's instinct. Women are always right in the end.
However experience is the best school so stick with him and see how he turns out.

once they see how happy he makes you and how he treats you with respect, and that you two have a lot of fun together, they will begin to like him - if not, THEY are not your friends!
