I dont agree with the fact that, India is not developed nation. Whats the yardstick to determine whether a country is developed or not?Is it based on Percapita income or annual GDP ??? The notion of developed country , developing country are all defined by Western countries.I would say, India is developed. The education level is good, exceptions may be few states, democracy has not failed so far ( This itself is enough is treat India is a developed country ), Military is powerful. So why cannt u say that, India is a developed country?

all those who have replied without using their head... I reaally feel sorry about them... India is considered to be the major contenders of the future superpowers of tomorrow... India is considered to b an important economy when gettin into world critical decisions. U think uncle sam would join hands with us on our conditions on the nuke deal without any reason? They have understood India's potential... India is not loosing jobs. Other countries r loosing jobs because of our strong outsourcing threat. Accepted... poverty is prevalant... Give it a little more time... And cooruption is prevalant everywhere... The MNCs are now considering India as a very strong market. They have started making it the export hubs and opening up manufacturing units over here. What say now dude???

India is infact a developed nation and benefits of development is only in hands of a few families. The few families mainly consist of Political leaders, small to big, goverment officials, what evermay be the position in government and henchmen of the above. The common man is happy with what ever bit of bone piece he gets rather demands for his right ful share in development.
