If your scared then getting a check up is Good thing. The possibility that you're just not physically mature enough is probably the most logical and medically best guess. Besides once you start you'll have something to make at least 3 days out of the month a little icky, I don't look forward to or miss it when it doesn't show up, you're going through a hard growing period but it sounds like you are facing the day to day issues head on, good for you! You're going to be fine and I bet this time next year you'll be saying, I HATE MY PERIOD!

Why scared to go to the doctor?
It is a good thing to go so you know more about your body and can have a professional give you the help you need to answer your questions.
If the gyno/doctor is concerned, they will do a pap smear. Its ok. I freaked out when I had to go to my first one. But after it was done, I was like "was that it? I got fussed about over this? Gesh I am a loser to think it was a big deal" lol. usually she will want to look at your cervix and also take a look at your overies to make sure they are healthy and working by altrasound.
You can take a trusted friend like your best friend or so in there if that makes you feel better.
But I wouldn't be all concerned to think something is wrong with you. You still got time and if you are developing, then time is near. but you need to be checked just incase you can find out more information on your body that we can't give you.

That's no big deal! I knew a girl who was 17 before she got her period! It's not a day at the beach honey, be glad you've gotten away not having it this long. This is something you're going to have for the next 30 years (and it's not fun, trust me) so just let it come. There's nothing wrong with it coming later! Thank your lucky stars. ;o) It's a blessing in disguise.

just a fast answer .. it has been known to come as early a 8 or 9 ..but as late as 16 or 17 .. the best thing i would sugguest is talk to your mom and see about going to an OBGYN , im sure its a lil funny to talk about it ..but .it is the best thing.. the doc is not there to do any thing bad... just to make sure your woman parts are ok ..that is the big thing...if there is something wrong.. the longer you wait ,, the worse it could be,, good luck to you .. and im sure you will see its not as bad as you would think.. = )

My advice to you is that you need to talk to your mother about it as it seems to be stressing you a lot about your periods.
You might have to see a gynocologist and get some hormone test done and he will let you know if there is any thing wrong.
It seems to be that you are going to be a late starter in life.

If you're very athletic, sometimes girls start later. I wouldn't worry too much. But if it concerns you, you should talk to your mom and maybe see a doctor.
