First of all, Spencer K, are you insane? dominating the Lions does not mean that the Rams are any good. After all, they did finish 6-10 last year...

Anyway:
1. Colts -- they have the best QB, one of the best defenses, just about the best WR squad and the best clutch kicker of the past 10 years, Adam Vinatieri.
2. Pittsburgh -- they just get the job done with amazing defense and pretty good offense.
3. Chicage -- the best defense in the league statistically the past year, but the slight lack of a QB with any skills at all is why they bombed in the playoffs
4. Seattle -- should probably be higher, but they are basically an inferior copy of the Colts, except for the fact that they (Seattle) didn't lose their Pro Bowl RB.
5. Cincinnati -- they have an amazing offense, the only problem is that their defense pretty much is non-existant. the only time they could contain an opponent's offense was if it was someone like cleveland, or houston, or baltimore, teams with less offense than cincy has defense.

Top 5 currently in the NFL in no particular order:

3) Indy
4) Cincinnati
5) Seattle

Not in particular order:

1. Cincinnati Bengals. Supercharged offense, and an improved defense from last year through the draft and free agency.
2.Seattle Seahawks-potent offense and equally opportunistic defense.
3.Carolina Panthers-improved offense, good defense
4.Atlanta Falcons-QB whose coaches will let him play his style of QB, improved repoire with his WR's, and the best cornerback in the league on defense.
5.Indianapolis Colts-have to put them on here just because how good Peyton is during the regular season. But look for him to choke in the playoffs as usual.

The 49ers, the Cowboys, and the Steelers, because of the legacy each team has, and the dynasties which they have built.

The Patriots, because of the way they play, they way they coach, they way they are managed, and because of the decisions they make that pay off for them

The Colts, because they have consistantly dominated for the past decade

1. Indy
2. Cincinnati
3. Carolina
4. Pittsburgh
5. Dallas

All of those teams have one thing in common... they have very smart head coaches that use strategy well, and big speedy front sevens and a game breaking RB or WR.
