This actually is an old epitaph from a tombstone from many years ago ( an old miner I believe) and I have actually written it out and have given to my sister, who will be the executor of my will, with instructions that I want it engraved on my tombstone. I love it because it sums life up in a nutshell. Nothing flowery...just the facts.
First I weren't,
And then I was,
And now I ain't again.

I do not want a tombstone or gravestone to be built in my name for the stray dog to urinate or a burglar to hide behind!

Whether I die tomorrow or live for another quadrillion years, I'll not die without regret. My tombstone might read:
"I have but one regret: That I did not live to see the rest of the infinite future."

Try to realize it's all within yourself no one else will make you change, and to see you're really small and life goes on within you and without you.
