This actually is an old epitaph from a tombstone from many years ago ( an old miner I believe) and I have actually written it out and have given to my sister, who will be the executor of my will, with instructions that I want it engraved on my tombstone. I love it because it sums life up in a nutshell. Nothing flowery...just the facts.
First I weren't,
And then I was,
And now I ain't again.

I do not want a tombstone or gravestone to be built in my name for the stray dog to urinate or a burglar to hide behind!

Whether I die tomorrow or live for another quadrillion years, I'll not die without regret. My tombstone might read:
