what dose system of a down mean?

i know it a has something to dos with a poem by one of the guritaist called Victim of a down.

i think the name is saposed to reflect the bands disapproval of our government and other political powers in the world. like we are stuck in a system disigned to keep us down

The name (SOAD) was based on a poem of Daron Malakian but i think it was Serj who choosen to change the name to System instead of victims.

It's a reference to our goverment's destructive path that they are dragging us down into.
