Okay I have found the answer to this question, but am going to leave it open as a challenge to all you music lovers out there, (like myself). Some clues: They have toured with Motley Crue and Heart, and the lead singer was David Lee Roth's friend, and even adopted some of his singing style. Out of six albums recorded, they only had three hits, though these hits were great songs, and one went platinum. Their group was started in 1983, in L.A.
Okay, one more Big Clue: One of their songs was featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the best pc video game ever made (It was the first video game that enabled you to interact extensively with the characters of the game, outside of the main "mission goals"...

One more big clue. They were once elected best looking '80's hair band/glam rock group. The lead guitarist, Steve Lynch, was great, and did some instructional "shred guitar" videos.

Nothing wrong with 80s hair band ( Van halen, Pantera , Quite Riot, Snider and twisted sister, Skid Row, Ratt , Bon Jovi, Cindarella, Saxon, Dokken, Def Lepard.......) I don't like poison though for some reason or another.
