you wouldn' be able to walk without friction nor type nor even hold a glass nor travel in a car nor do things which require a certain amount of holding or gripping

There are a lot of advantages of friction.
-If it were not for friction it would be nearly impossible for us to walk (imagine walking on slippery ice, just 100 times more slippery).
-Cars would not move (wheels would spin but car would stay stationary) and once moving wouldn't go around corners or be able to stop until they collide with a solid object
-most pumps (with impellars) wouldn't work
-most impellar driven boats would not move (where friction is transfered to momentum)
-nails wouldn't stick in walls
-bolts wouldn't stay fastened
-all loose objects on inclined surfaces would slide off (and if an object was placed on a flat surface it could also slide off if not perfectly stationary when placed down)
-imagine if your dinner table was a frictionless surface - all the plates and objects would slide off at the slightest force (eg if you sneeze)
-we wouldn't be able to easily hold objects (think of holding something very slippery and imagine it much worse than that)

Life without friction would be very difficult indeed!!

1. We are able to walk on the ground because of friction.
2. The breaks of the vehicles work on account of friction.
3. We are able to grip a pen/pencil,etc due to friction.

the uses of friction are:

1) friction enables us to stand on the ground and walk.otherwise, everything will be as slippery as walking on banana skin.

2) friction helps us to write, paint, draw

3) vehicles cannot be stopped if there is no friction

Friction gives us grip so that we can walk, hold things..........
Friction produces heat energy. We can keep warm by rubbing our hands together. We reguire friction to light up a match or a lighter. Without friction, it SUX!
