i always like the color of their uniforms.... and how frank lary [you probably never heard of him ,circa1960] used to beat the yankees EVERY time he pitched!

I'm not a Tigers fan but I will say I love what they are doing up there in Detroit. How cool is it to a few years ago set the record(or tie, I'm not sure which exactly) for most losses in a season and be the laughing stock of the league and now look at what they're doing. A complete and utter turnaround! It's amazing! I'm a Reds fan, from the NL so I can say this because Tigers are in the A.L. so: GO DETROIT!

All of your reasons are great ones, but I love them because I've always loved them. Grew up in Michigan and started following the Tigers in 1955 when they had Kaline, Kuenn, Hoeft, Lary and Bunning. They've been my team ever since. Did you see them last night? Came back from a 5-0 deficit to beat the Indians. Go Tigers!

I just hope all of the enthusiasm for the Tigers doesn't go for naught. It would be a shame if they compile such a stunning regular season record and then get knocked out of the playoffs in the first round.

Not a Tigers fan, but I want Pudge back.
I personally blame A-Rod for the management of the Rangers deciding to let him go.

#s 4 & 5 but not in that order. #5 first: I love Jim Leyland because he's a no-nonsense, matter-of-fact guy who tells it like it is. Plus, he has complete and utter faith in his team and has "managed" to instill that into them as well. #4: Now they believe they can go all the way to the WS and are proving it by playing superior ball! Period.

Because the Yankees will beat them in the playoffs. I don't think they ever did that before in the post-season.

Because my husband said I have to until/unless he plays for a different team because it looks really bad to have their spouses rooting for the other guys.
