They can't see any colour. But since they are already agitated after being bound in closeted fences, the waving of the cloth incites them. If the colour was blue believe me they would go for it.

The bulls sided with Gen.Franco during the Spanish Civil War against the Communists. The red flag just ticks them off.

I've heard it's mostly because of the movement of the cape and the color red is appears dark to the bull.

As far as I know they are color-blind. It isn't the color that upsets them it is the motion of the cape. It is red because it always was and it does make it easier to see from the stands.

The motion of the cape is what gets them going. They cannot see red; it's just traditional to use that color.

bulls are color-blind. a red cape keep flagging in front of the bull only annoy it and make it angry. they cannot see red. no matter what the cape color is, they will do the same thing. they are just angry. same like if i keep flashing some thing in front of your eyes, you will definately scold me and hit me (if i still flashing it, non-stop)

They see the movement of the cape. The color has nothing to do with it.

of course they cant because they are color blinded. it is not the color of the cape that ticks them off, but its movement, and the movement of the person holding it.
