Because they're sheep. If this site is any indication, we have a lot of Republican AND Democratic sheep.

Because most people don't want to think for themselves. They'd rather just listen to the media, and as long as things are going good for them, they don't give a rat's booty about anything else.
There are those that do try to look at different viewpoints, and try to be objective in their opinion on the subject. But those kinds of people are too far and few between, and if they manage to land journalism jobs, they usually don't get far because they probably won't conform and report stuff with a bias (yes, it's not 100% true, but seriously, how much news you get isn't slanted one way or another?)

Yeah, it's too bad that all those people in the middle-east are so simple minded and believe what the terrorist news networks feed them. At least we in the US get our news from sources worldwide and are presented with every point of view thus allowing us to see things much more clearly.

Many people have a fear of saying something that my be perceived as stupid. When you stay in line and chant along with the mob it is easier to accumulate a lot of false friends and fit in. Kind of boring don't you think?

I was a sheeple once. No more. I don't believe anything my government says anymore. 9/11 was staged. It's too much proof to deny any of it.
