of course india can win the champions trophy, with players like sachin tendulkar, rahul dravid, ms dhoni, irfan pathan and yuvraj singh. its only that they shud not lose their winning temperament, and play to their abilities. now that sachin is back , they look confident enough too.

I like how the indian supporters believe in their side, but argakar and pathan are not going to win you many matches..

India need some bowling.

Australia and England can match India is scoring ODI runs, specially against India's bowling line up.

I would really like India, pakistan and Sri Lanka to win these international tournaments, but i don't see it happening anytime soon.

I am from NZ, with Bond and Vettori, both top 10 Odi bowlers, but its not good enough for us to win, even if we had India's batting, because of who bowls the other 30 overs.

I would back either Australia or England. Australia because Simon Jones will not be there.

Yes...As the champions trophy is in India..they definitely have better chances..they are almost unbeatable on home soil...but they didnt play well in West Indies so lets see how they perform in the upcoming tri-series then maybe we can judge...Go india!
if not india...i guess the Aussies will win..they haven't won this trophy yet and as world champions they're definitely aiming for it!
But who knows..maybe some unexpected team will win? like West indies last time

Yeah. They have Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid (skipper), Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, Sreesanth, Ajit Agarkar, etc. It is also a great opportunity to experiment Indian players like trying Munaf Patel, VRV Singh or RP Singh on teams like West Indies.

But ... teams like Sri Lanka, Australia, South Africa & Pakistan are playing great cricket nowadays. Sri Lanka's 5-0 sweep over england in england is a clear example along with others like SA beating Aus 3-2 etc...................................

Not only that there's a great chance ove rthe trophy. But Australians are not including key players in this event due to ashes series starting the next month against eng with the 1st test on nov. 23 at brisbane while the t'ment ends on nov.5.

But still.... India has a greater chance. It's their own soil! They defeated Sri Lanka & England over here so things might seem easier with Rahul Dravid & coach Greg Chapell alongwith key players to lift the trophy.

Unlikely - since it is in the sub continent, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India do have a chance of grabbing it - But I feel that the Aussies will come strong. My Money will be on Sri Lanka though - they are in top form - the coming triangular might give an indication - OK I will go on, who wins the triangular will win the Champions !
