I have had these feelings of dejavu all my life. It always is a moment or two in time, such as a conversation with someone, a place, or something, or someone, I am observing. I don't know what it is, but I know it's real...I get the feeling I've experienced this moment in time before, and I recognize it right off the bat...it is never a life changing moment, just everyday life...Once, I had traveled to Iowa, (I had never been in the state before,) and saw a sign for a truck stop, it was a grand sorta sign, not typical at all..I had that dejavu feeling and stopped there..Sitting there in the parking lot, I could see the layout of the building, and decided to investigate, to see if it was really like I believed it would be, sure enough, It was EXACTLY as I pictured it...the steps outside, the resturant, the rest rooms were where I pictured them to be!! Another time, I dreamed of riding in a car with a man, passing underneath streetlights..I didn't know who he was, only I knew I loved him very much, and I seen only his profile underneath the streetlights.....Many years later, I experienced this for real, the same moment, and I was riding in the car with my new husband, in my local town, whom I loved so much...as soon as I experienced this moment again, I recognized it as a dream I had had many years ago!! So weird!!

Yes, and many times when I've had it, it's when I've come to a difficult decision and a crossroad in my life. I feel like I truly have been here before, and that maybe I made the wrong choice the last time. I don't believe in past lives, but that's still the feeling I get. So I don't usually make the easy decision. I go for the one that's right, but always more difficult.
Other times, I've had that same Deja Vu feeling for no apparent reason. I remember this unfamiliar person coming up to me and saying that exact same phrase, and in this same place, even though I may have never been here before. I'm very wary in these instances, but nothing bad has ever happened in any of
these situations yet.
When I met my first fiancee for the very first time, we both had a strong feeling that we'd known each other before. We had a wonderful life together until she passed away from illness.
The last one here is very weird, and I'm sure it's different than the others I listed. Early in 1988, my house burnt down. I'd gotten a great new job a few years earlier and I'd moved to that town, which was fifteen miles from my hometown. When I first found my new apartment, which is above a garage, I had an extreme case of deja vu, but a very pleasant one. I took the apartment.
After I'd been there five years, I ran into an old friend I hadn't seen since high school, Mark, who'd just moved back to this same town. He and Shirley, his wife, wanted to check out their new CD on my awesome home stereo, something I've always been known for having. He asked me where I live and instead of answering, I told him to follow me. It's a very short street and easy to miss.
When we got there, Mark grinned. We listened to their new CD and he and Shirley kept snickering. I figured they were high or something. Finally he said, "I know it was the 70s and we were always pretty wasted, but you really don't remember, do you?"
I didn't know what he was talking about. Shirley said, "When you first met me, it was at the County fair with Mark here. Where did we live then, just after we got married?"
I started to say an apartment above a garage when it hit me like a slap in a face. It was right here, but I hadn't really known this town that was fifteen miles from home back then. The streets run at a crazy angle and I used to always get lost trying to find this very same short street.
I call this phenomenon "Pseudo Deja Vu."

Oh yeah. I get it all the time too. Someone told me it was just me experiencing something very similar to what I'd experienced before. But I don't think that's true. I've gotten that feeling from things that I KNOW, with absolute certainty, I've never done anything like before. Particular instances in new video games I've never played before, in buildings I've never been in, and even things I've said to a person that I hadn't said before to anyone.

I've had these so many times-I always feel like maybe it's a sign-maybe that place;person; thing, will somehow affect my life in someway; somehow. It's a very intense and yet emotional feeling I get, and I like it, but sometimes it's scary- it just makes me wonder about life-the past-the present, the future and why?.

Yes I have had that feeling, and I think there is some sort of psychic connection to it. But I think it comes through to us as one of the many dreams that we never remember when we wake up. There fore it is in our subconscious mind and we cannot recall why we know this place...

Weird. Me too. I did a Google search on it and apparently, Science doesn't know much about it. I wonder, what it is.
I also just did this survey. They are trying to figure it out.
