It is impossible for an alignment of stars to influence life on Earth. There are an infinite number of stars and an infinite number of alignments and are you saying that one particular alignment will spell our doom. If there are an infinite number of aligments then one particular alignment has zero probability of happening and isnt THAT a paradox!
