I was taking some anti biotics a very high dose actually. now I have gotten a horrible yeast infection, I started a seven day treatment but after three days it seemed to get worse. yesterday I called in to my gyno and got a one day prescribed treatment that was very expensive. I am still using my seven day as of tonight cause I'm itching and burning so bad, please help!

The best way to go is to use the 7 day. Sometimes, the 1 day doesn't quite work. I rarely get yeast infection... but my sister gets them, and that was her recommendation.

One tip for preventing yeast infection: garlic.

It's an old oriental remedy for women. With dinner, we'd have pickled garlic or have something made with chopped garlic inside.

Another thing you could do is use cotton panties and try not to wear panties at night.

The one day treatment in pill form is called Diflucan. It does work but it can take up to 3 days. You can still use the seven day treatment externally for the itching. Eating yogurt with active cultures is a big help too. Try cold compresses for the burning and itching too. Know how it feels.
