Ok, I did the same thing as you. I freaked when going into a new building. You need to look at it as a fun thing rather than a scary thing. I was lucky because I was in a fairly small school, but that might not be the case for you. Once you get your schedule worked out, try and go on an open house day and just walk through your classes. Figure out how many times you pass your locker, how long it takes to get from one room to another, and if you can hit the bathroom between classes (believe me, this is important). If you do it a few times, by the second week you will know it like the back of your hand. You will not get a detention unless you break a rule. This is very easy, so just dont be stupid. Be cool, and if you think it sounds stupid or will be stupid, avoid it. Teachers arent the most evil people in the world, and unless you get one that really doesnt like you, you should be good.

Hope that helped!

If you don't usually get detentions, don't sweat!! I felt the same way moving schools for 6th grade. On the first day, if you have a friend there have them show you around and help you find your way or if you don't know anyone, try and make friends soon! Try and get there early the first day and maybe explore a bit and meet your teachers if you feel up to it. Teachers will help a lot if your new. I'm going into high school this year and have already gone the end of the last year to meet my teachers and explore to school.

So really, just be yourself and relax! I have faith in you to learn your way around quickly. And I doubt you will get detentions! You sound too sweet! Good Luck! :)

Don't worry. Every school has a map outline of the campus. Just ask the office for one and you can look for your classes on the map. Good luck in middle school.
