I've had to call them numerous times for refunds when I had a free trial disk because they took the money anyways.

If you never listen to anything else, hear this! I used to work for AOL and they are all about the fine print. Before you accept their terms you must read all the terms and conditions or not join! What you must do right now is call AOL and cancel your account, get a cancelation number do not accept any more free months just cancell. This is the only way to rid them of your system, please do this or they will keep you tied to them till you owe a fortune for a service you do not want.

Yes, I once did the 3 free month thing but canceled after a month but then after the 3 free months they charged me 2 months in a row. They made me wait on hold for an hour and a half before I could get them to stop charging me for the service I didn't even use.

Once they did. I sign up for my free trial for 120 hours free. During those hours I used their service, I though it was not good compare to other service providers, so I called them to cancel my membership before the next month started.

I even got a comfirmation number that proved I had called to cancel my membership, but then at the end of the month I got charged $23.99* and I was all mad and called them to make sure they would returned my money, but they didn't.

Sad :(

Screwed me over yes. Taken my money, no. Every time I fool with AOL, something weird happens to my computer. Spyware, for example. Just say no.

I wouldn't give aol a nickle for a dime. They are ripoffs and I don't use their services. I use their discs they send in the mail for coasters and target practice. If you were cajoled into giving them money then you my friend have been had . Say bye bye money and say hello to everyones johnsons.
