Yes, that is correct, but the downside is if you print a lot of text, then the black runs out real fast, and the cartridge won't work anymore. For just doing photos, it's probably cheaper.

Buying software on Ebay can be tricky, but you are about three generations old with 98. 2000, x-p, and Vista in Jan 2007. With release of Vista, x-p will be dirt cheap. HP has good multifunction printers that you would need to scan. HP can tell you whether they will run on 98. Be sure you have adequate memory for x-p at least 512 and more is better.

Update your operating System...I think Microsoft has ceased with any updates for Windows 98..You can get a registered new version of XP cheap from Ebay..Good Luck

hi,
in color cartridge you will get the original print of photo from camere so just go for original rather then multiple cartridge
buy original catridge both black and colour . this will give you perfect picture quality

most printers I had in my years worked fine try a HP all in one printer that usualy has a CD for older versions 4 windows
