Minimum System Requirements for The Sims 2
If you have a T&L capable video card with at least 32 MB of video RAM then you need at least:
800 MHz processor or better
256 MB RAM if Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 98 or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 GB of hard drive space
If you have a non-T&L capable video card (an Intel Extreme Graphics or a Radeon 7000/VE Series) then you need at least:
2.0 GHz processor or better

make specific the processor is powerful, otherwise the interest will run particularly slowly.. The sims 2 makes use of the processor better than the snap shots card... The snap shots particularly are not all that super, so the snap shots card does not artwork too hard... yet for the reason which you will possibly have a gaggle of human beings and many issues occurring on your place (in the sims 2) it will require a brilliant sort of processing potential, otherwise your interest will decelerate..

No, that graphics card is too old and if you want to play the sims2 well you have to have a GeForce 5 (FX) or higher to even really run the game. You might be able to get it to run with earlier versions, but that is doubtful. You might also consider upgrading your ram to at least 512. I had 512 on my ram... upgraded to 1 gig and the sims runs a lot better.
