Are we saying that religious fundamentalists are not part of the world? That is, if you are asking whether this big inclusive thing called "the world" is beholden to negotiate with religious fundamentalists, what "sector" do you put religious fundamentalists in?

That--obviously--is a rhetorical question. What you are asking is--what?--whether "regular folk" should consider making concessions regarding the demands of certain religious-fundamental groups? Whether certain governments should compromise with certain groups that are "extreme"?

Posed this way, the answer is "yes." People should always negotiate when there is a problem to be solved. I mean, what is the alternative? Genocide? Mass slaughter? Are you asking whether certain bodies of power should just eliminate everybody who seems to belong to a certain religious-fundamental group? That seems a little barbaric.

But I don't know--because I'm a little confused about the way you put things.

The advantage of negotiation is treating people like people, no matter how "extreme" other people may appear.

The disadvantage is exhibiting oneself the very (perceived) barbarism that one claims to abhor.

And these last two sentences are the bottom line.

Yes I truly believe so, it'll be a great step in World Peace. Just about all of our problems are cuz of religion. Therefore, we should merge all our religions into one universal religion. Trust me, I'm sure most of them are the same thing. Just dechiper the good and straight forward rules and beliefs from the bad ones.

Of course, we need to understand that other religions are just as valid as ours.
