I have a mouse in my house and I need to get rid of it, but I do not want to kill it. Does anybody know what kinds of non-lethal mouse traps the stores sell and about how much they cost?

There is a humane, non-kill trap called Have-a-Heart.
It is like a little rectangular wire cage with both ends able to open and close with metal doors. Inside in the middle there is a place to put a bit of food. When the mouse starts to eat the food,
(try peanut butter - they like it better than cheese), a mechanism trips and the doors on either end snap closed. The mouse is trapped inside, but unhurt, and plus they have some food to eat, too.
The best place to put it is along the wall or under something because mice do not prefer running around in the middle of open areas.
Once the mouse is caught, make sure that you take him/her on a little drive or walk some distance away from your house, or else he/she will just come right back.
We drive ours to a field about a mile away.
Then, open the doors and let him scamper away, unharmed.
You cannot leave the mouse in the cage for too long, since there is no water. Mice have high metabolisms and must eat and drink frequently.
Don't leave a mouse in the trap longer than about 8 hours.
The mouse will thank you for the rest of his life!

Go to a feed store if there is one in your town and ask them about the safe traps. Use the peanut butter sparingly, like someone else suggested and then release it in a field. Some feed stores even rent the traps out.....

Glad you don't want to kill it....Good luck

im sorry but most mouse traps are pretty lethal. i guess you could buy a trap but itd have to be pretty small since the mouse could probably crawl through the holes in the cage.

im sorry but its either gonna die or stay in your house
i used to have the same problem in my house, but my overweight cat caught them and killed them. id suggest getting it out of your house cause when they die theyre pretty grody to clean up

i recognize it sounds loopy, yet take him to the vet. discover a cardboard container, punch some holes with a pencil. Why does his existence have any much less fee than human beings? You never recognize, he ought to be your new puppy :)

Yeah take one of my cats. I hear the grey one really realllly likes to play with mice. Then your dog will have a cat that likes dogs, the cat will have a nice loving k9 and the mouse will have a cat that loves him. see everybody wins. Toby says yes. Jake says no.

Jesus Christ call me wtf???
