Man it kills me. Every time my aunt comes over to visit from Hawaii, she always brings like two bagfuls of Macadamia nuts. It's like she thinks that we cherish them inland. It's like Macadamia after Macadamia.

Also, whenever they advertise something Hawaii, the only thing they show is those belly dancers, like doesn't Hawaii have anything else to offer? Frankly, it scares me from going to Hawaii.

your aunt is just trying to be thoughtful. macadamia nuts are something that hawaii is known for and she's just trying to share it with you. if you don't like them tell her so she stops wasting her money.
hawaii is known for a lot more than nuts and hula dancers. they're known formost for the beautiful beaches among hundreds of other things. if it scares you off then you better not go b/c bringing that attitude with you won't get you in good with the locals and you won't have a good time.
