I am 5'9 and a half and I wear an 8 to an 8-1/2 shoe depending on the shoe.
5'9 is average for a guy - not short (less than 5'7 is short)
Anything over 6' is tall..

Height- 5'3
Shoe size-71/2-8
i would consider a guy that is 5'9 to be tall!

1) 5'5" 8 1/2 (except for Skechers...those I need a 9)
2) I don't think height should matter much, but 5'9" sounds fine to me.

the average height for an american man is 5'9 and a woman is 5'3. so, you are definitely not considered short at all
