"We" don't have a purpose per se.
From a strictly genetic viewpoint, you could say it is to propagate our genes.
The religionists would believe that our purpose is to serve god (theirs, of course) or give some other religious-based answer.
But those first two "purposes" don't do us justice as sentient beings with free will. In both cases, these purposes reduce us to mere pawns in a greater plan not our own, denying us our individual sovereignty.
There is only one purpose that can have any true meaning in our lives, and that is the purpose that we each discover--or create--for ourselves.

While some might have moments in life where they just absolutely feel joy, I think our purpose in life is to pay back debts. Debts to life. We grow up, go to school, sturdy hard, then work hard, so we can get nice materials so we can PAY HARD. We have to work hard to keep our marriage, work hard to keep kids from being bad, and then when we become old, we try to survive HARD and then we die and bring sorrow to our families.
People say not to smoke so you can live longer. My question is WHY? So we can pay our debts? So we can continue to pay rent, mortgage, phone bills, electricity, to see all the bad things in the world? Am I just being selfish or are you not able to handle the truth?
The only thing I see why we men should live is to sturdy, to work on our women picking up skills and just tap as many women as we can. Bottomline, I think our purpose in life is the P * S S Y .

To evolve, become better, kinder, more in touch with the universe.
Unfortunately, society forgot it through the centuries, so we can only hope some day more and more individuals will become aware of this fact and act accordingly, so things really change on this planet.

I think that our purpose as people as a whole is to ask God for our individual purpose and guidance so that we may serve Him. And, to tell others who dont know that God wants us to be fruitful, and that means spiritually happy, and content with what we have, not always be concerned with what we dont have.

Actually we have no purpose, we are the effects of some-one(or two?)'s purpose. Our parents had some purpose and they achieved it.

To raise some really good kids, ones that are smart, responsible and have a head on their shoulders, so later in life they don't have to bow down to others.

When we are hungry, we should eat. When we are tired, we should sleep.
This is purpose without mind. With mind we are lost.
