The new Sound Blaster Audigy SE does the same thing and the file looks similar. However I was trying out an answer and turn off hardware accel and now it just reads, "No sound card was found. If one..."

I have installed drivers from the manufacturer, updated them etc. As I said this is my second time asking this question.

Has anyone read the additional details?! I have already stated that I have already asked a question similar to this and got good answers but no results. I guess I may end up going to a computer repair shop instead. (I have fixed my families computers before so this irks me.)

Ummm... you said this is a NEW soundcard? Because all the info you gave us relates to what appears to be the built_in soundcard on your eMachines computer.

Assuming you have actually installed a NEW soundcard into an available PCI slot in your computer:

1) Make sure the speakers are plugged into the new souncard.

2) Make sure you have run the driver installation program for you new soundcard.

3) Reboot the computer, and get into the BIOS setup screen (usually by hitting the 'Delete' key as the computer starts up.

4) Disable the onboard soundcard (the RealTek AC97 card).

5) Save your settings and reboot PC

6) Follow the prompts to install your soundcard.

If this doesn't help, call the tech support line for the soundcard.

If they can't help, call a professional tech to do it for you; this has nothing to do with a DirectX problem...

The sound device that is shown on the dxdiag readout shows that your default sound device is on your motherboard instead of your pci card...try restarting the computer and if it doesn't auto-detect the new hardware, then restart your computer with the driver disk in the cd drive and reinstall the drivers...

I don't think this has anything to do with DirectX... try going into your BIOS (by pressing the DEL or F1 key when booting up) and disable your onboard AC97 soundcard. They could be conflicting in the IRQ addresses

Test the sound card by connecting it to ur friends computer or somewhere. If it is working on other computer and your motherboard might be having another onboard sound card.IF the songs are playing in windows media player then there is some problems with you speaker.

Have you tried Windows update?
Does your motherboard have onboard audio? If so you'll have to disable it in the BIOS.
Also try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it and letting Windows use its own drivers and NOT the drivers that came with it.

I hope that helps.
