So would it be good to plan a few special days this season for him....? Such as special types of snack foods he likes, something cold to drink, and actually get into the game with him?
I guess his fascination is like shopping is for me or even working out at the gym... I will definately look at it differently now...
Oh how you boys are bonded together!!! LOL!

It's actually quite fun.... once you learn the rules to the game. After you get the basic concepts, it won't be long before you'll find yourself screaming at the screen at bad calls, in sync with him. I can't wait for this season to start. I'm a Pittsburgh fan, and because we're moving back to our home state (military), he's geared up to support Cleveland. We'll see how this goes! lol!! Anyways, pretzels, vege platters and dip, beer, and iced tea is how we do it.
Getting into the game is pretty fun, but I doubt that men will ever willingly want to go shopping with us.

You like doing one thing and he like football. It would be nice if you did that for him. Maybe you could find a friend who likes to shop and has a husband that likes football. On Sunday the guys could watch football while the wifes go shopping. But if you want to get into the game with him ask your father or brothers to teach you some of the rules and what happens then when you watch with your husband you can say I saw that on that play. And the next day your husband will be telling his co-workers what a great wife he has.

I don't really like football /don't get it.
I only like to watch Horse Racing and some Nascar sometimes as far as watching sports on TV.
Like some of the players even know who a few are.
Boy friend LOVES football
We spent football days with snacks and him watching TV while I read and snuggle on the couch next to him.
Next day we go do something I like.
I actually tho sometimes enjoy baffling him cause 9 times out of 10 I tell him who will win. And I'm right.

Whatever you do, don't try and get into watching the games with him. You'll end up asking silly questions or rooting for the opposing team or something equally annoying to him. Go to the mall or hang out with your friends. Nothing wrong with a little time away from each other.
Snacks would be nice, though.

It would be good if you shared your hubby's enjoyment of the game.
It is better than being a Sunday widow.
I also watch the Sunday morning, afternoon night games, and the Monday night game. What better way to spend but together?.
Anything the both of you enjoy to make the game more enjoyable will be good.

One answer for you and let me translate it into Womenese.
Desperate Housewives.
Hope you'll understand. As for you trying to support your husband, the best support we, at least I, want is for the wife to sit and enjoy the game with me, forget all that fansy chips and drinks and stuff. Buy them only if you can do it naturally, don't "GO OUT OF YOUR WAY", it's just not the same. I hope you like my answer.

I suppose this is where I lucked out, my wife loves football. Every Sunday we're both in front of TV, jerseys on, game gear out, and food ready to go. Sometimes she swears at refs more than I do.

Do support him. I had an ex-boyfriend who loved football and I got into the games with him. I love it now!! Get him some snacks and watch a couple of games with him. If you really keep an open mind, you might start to love it too. Go Patriots!!!!!

Its not only men that love football. I've been a fan since 69 and I'm no man. I got into it because my dad took the time to explain it to me. Makes all the difference.
