Albert Pujols. Then there is everyone else. He does it all. Hit run, and field. Only thing he can't do is pitch. David Ortiz can be considered since he is the most clutch player in the league. The only reason why Ortiz isn't in Pujols league right now is because he can't field and he runs like he has a corn cob shoved up his a$$.

Albert Pujols is the best, most complete player in baseball, no contest. for best hitter, right now you have to go with David Ortiz though, cuz he's just unreal

You have to say Pujols but Carlos Beltran is reminding people this year why the Mets signed him to a $120 million contract. He's been phenomenal.

PS I'm a lifelong Mets fan so I do confess to a little bias.

Chase Utley...
1. he just had a 35 game hit streak
2. he can hit home runs
3. he is clutch
4. he is a great defensive player
5. he hustles out of the batters box as soon as he makes contact and beats out throws

Pujols is great and any team would love to have him, but there is more to baseball than just hitting homeruns.

A-Rod. He's phenomenal.
Ok, not exactly at this moment in his career, but overall,
he's simply the best.
Easy on the eyes, too, but that's not why I picked him.
I love how he has such high standards for himself. He strives to be better every year.

If you look at what David Ortiz is capable of doing, and realise he is doing the business every night, i think he is the winner.

Derek Jeter because LOOK AT HIS AVERAGE!!!!!!!!! It's 354. He's in second place for the best average. Someone named Mauer is in first place, I think?
