Why are there more gays now than ever before? What has happened in the last 10 years that has caused this spike? Want my bet? The politically correct world that we built. When I grew up, it was army guys, giant robots, and superheroes blasting everything off the face of the planet. No that kind of stuff is wrong for children, so they grow up watching EXTREMELY homosexual men on TV, like The Wiggles, the Blue's Clue's guy, Barny, I can go on and on. These "men" act gayer than a bag of Elton Johns, and children soak this up every day and view these people as role models because of a lack of options, thus they grow up very feminine. I for one do not allow The Wiggles or Barny in my house, and my son grows up watching those old trash em bash em 80's cartoons like Transformers and GI Joe. 2 years old and he is already chasing women around. I couldn't be more proud of the little guy. Does anybody else think our newage "gay" TV is causing these gays?

You just did not notice but you cannot tell me that you dont think men back then were not doing each other back in the barracks. There are no more gay people now then years ago. Also this bull crap theroy that its influence that makes people gay. Thats so far from the reality be real. If this is the case then How could two brothers both lived in the same home be identical twins have the same friends growing up and had the same jobs went to the same schools and did everything together end where one is gay and one is straight. The only reason you see more gBLT people now adays is because we are not hidding anymore. The world is changing.

There are over 6 and a million/2 billion human beings interior the international and easily some greater helpful than one-0.33 of them connect Christianity, broken down by using employing Catholicism, Orthodox & Protestant which includes 5% of Christians. There are greater declared 'non-religious' blended with atheists than professed Protestants. which means there are greater or much less 60% of all people who do no longer believe as you do. that's no longer a controversy yet only a presentation of recommendations. So it follows which you're very lots interior the international's minority of human beings who've opted to persist which contain your Lord. the straightforward and easy actuality is, that no rely the form you cutting-edge it, no rely how lots you have self belief in it, lots of the the the remainder of the international does not. Your determination of words in featuring this question is itself a assertion and admission of procedures you look to sense that Christians have the wonderful to condemn..........who gave you that suited? you do not have the wonderful to condemn them to any extent further than they do you? Take an prolonged seem at your question, the recommendations and then come to a variety why Christianity, after 2000 years is reducing as greater particularly absolutely everyone looks falling away and not interior the process it.

Gay people were ALWAYS around. Are there more now than there were before? Are there evidence showing/suggesting that? Did you make a count of all the gays back in the 1920s?
The fact is... It seems like there's more gay people now than before is because gays feel more comfortable coming out NOW than ever before. There's greater visibility. The closet is emptying. People talk about gays now. It's not much of a taboo anymore. Back then, when society heavily condemn gays for acting gay, they suppressed and monitored their actions and behaviors.
You're kind of ignorant though. There are bunch of older gay guys in their 60s who didn't even have The Wiggles and Blue's Clues around when they were growing up. So you're saying everyone who watches Blue's Clues, Barney, and the Wiggles as young kids will turn out gay? You're worse than the guy who said SpongeBob is gay. That's funny. My male cousins and other guys, who grew up watching Barney, aren't gay.
You're also pandering to stereotypes. Gay guys aren't always feminine. I GUARANTEE it.

I don't think it has anything to do with T.V viewing . I think there are just more people in the world today and in the past 10 years gay rights have come a long way . Homosexuality has become more accepted and gay men and women have a bit more freedom than in past years . You also have the news and talks shows that report everything and gay rights are at the forefront of the media these days . The younger generation feel more comfortable with themselves and coming out that past generations did . People of my generation just did their thing and kept to themselves , they never aired their sexual preference to the public . Now everyone tells all and few people care or mind . I think it is just a matter of a new comfort level .

To answer your main question as to who's responsible for the increase in homosexuality: There is none. Sure, there may be slightly more homosexuals alive today than there were ten years ago, but that's (mostly) random fluctuation. The reason you see so many is that society is getting more accepting. Instead of remaining in the closet their entire lives, not only to those around them but also often to themselves, they see that it is possible to truly be who they are instead of who society wants them to be. My dad exemplifies this—forty-seven years old, and only just a couple of months ago working up the courage to come out. In short, homosexuality isn't on the increase—it's just its visibility and openness that is.
What the people who say you're gay bashing are trying to say is that you don't know what you're talking about. Largely the case. To us, your question does seem somewhat offensive. You seem to imply that all gay men are scrawny little wimps. While I certainly am (and am also quite proud of it), there are definitely some men's men who are gay. Ever heard of bears (not the animal, but as the subtype of gay men)? Manly trucker types, simply oozing with testosterone, but still as queer as a three dollar bill.
If I have a son (adopted), I recognize that he has something around a 90% chance of being straight. My raising him on non-violent television won't do anything to alter his eventual sexuality. Pacifism and homosexuality certainly don't go hand in hand—I once made the mistake of going home with someone violent in their opinions, their politics, their bedroom behavior, and intending to go into the military. He certainly was gay enough (straight people don't generally enjoy themselves in the situation we were in), but he was definitely a veritable warmonger. If you think there should be warmongers out there, then this is good news for you.
I really don't want everyone in the world to be gay. That would be silly. Heterosexual sex definitely serves the purpose of making our species endure. But I must say that I -do- want the world to be peaceful. Note that in saying that, I'm not saying that I want children growing up on Barney, the Wiggles, and Blue's Clues. Such shows are insipid and meritless. But neither do I want children growing up on violence.
But please, let me make this point again, because it's very important: Not all gay men are effiminate or wimps. There is as much variety within the gay community as there is in men as a whole.

There's no increase in the numbers. It's just that people are less afraid to come out. We at last have a chance to live our lives out of the closet and be healthy, contributing members in our society.
I don't know a thing about cartoons except they're all weird. All the voices are high pitched which drives me crazy. Thank goodness I don't have kids.
And yes you do have a problem with gays.
The fact that you are proud that of your 2 yr old son chasing women around shows you are a Neanderthal. How about teaching your son that violence isn't the answer in play or real life and that he is supposed to repect women. What do you want him to grow up to be-- a killer , a rapist?

"Who's to blame for the increase in homosexuality?"
Blame? Sorry, but that sounds pretty biased to me. Being Gay is nothing to be 'blamed' for. Just as Breeders, Gays and Lesbians are a naturally occurring sexual orientation.
It may also interest you to note, that Gays and Lesbians were here long before the '50's. And even longer than that, and then some, and then some more.
Best Wishes

If you have no problem with gays, why would it matter why they are increasing and why did you use the word blame?
People are less afraid now of losing their jobs, children, or even lives. I think that's enough of reason to be true to yourself. Not to mention the shows you mentioned were all shows for babies or toddlers. Perhaps you making your children watch killing and violence at a young age will mess them up more then anything. Nothing can make you gay, no amount of tv, over mothering, under fathering, molestation, or anything else.

You aren't making much of a "point." There have ALWAYS been gays, but it has just been gradually been coming more acceptable to discuss it openly. And women are discovering her needs being met by other women and it makes them happy. Women aren't as expected to put up with men if they really don't want to like before. Lots of men feel their own needs and attractions are satisfied by other men. It's not new, it's just been more open and gays are out of the woodwork. And out of the closet. There's no one to "blame" as you put it. There is only human nature to bless. Sorry if some of you cannot think outside of a boy+girl box. That's YOUR problem.

Today, more gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people are out than ever before, and many believe that being in the closet is unhealthy for the individual. I do not think there are more gay people, rather, there are more people that are finally coming out publicly as being gay. Today's society is more accepting of homosexuals than it has ever been in the past. So - there are not more gays, just more of us willing to admit it.
