Can anyone suggest some good places to look for good hip hop dance music, appropriate for young people- minus the profanity and the negative or adult topics?
Suggestions of specific songs or groups would be great, too.

slight clarification.... age appropriate for about 13-14 year olds....
maybe some suggestions for just instrumental hip hop, or Christian hip hop, perhaps?

Did you say hip hop? Sorry, no such thing as clean, profanity-less hip hop music exists.

Older hip hop tends to be less vulgar than more modern hip hop. some artists you might want to look into are: Kool Moe Dee and the Fat Boys never swore and were pretty wholesome. They might not appeal to younger children though.
KRS-ONE is still around but his albums can be hit or miss ranging from very 'gangsta' to political and everything in between.
Public Enemy - 'It takes a nation of millions to hold us back' very positive political (sometimes adult topics) but no swearing if i remember correctly.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (AKA will smith) very wholesome.
EDIT: Oh yeah, De La Soul and A tribe Called Quest are great too.

There are alot of things that dont involve anything, yet sound like it. Nelly Furtado's song to her, has nothing to do with sex, but for other people it does.
You have a better chance at going at things that arent in english. Daddy Yankee, Shakira, and anyone else you cant understand.
But if you really want hip hop..then i would say...well stick with female artist. Ciara and all that. Missy can be a tad bit..yeah.
Trina, dont even think about it. Shes rated X. Then agian, never saw anyone dance to that.
Adult Topics? Like politics? Uh...-crossed alot of people off the list-

Call me old-school but I personally think that 'Arrested Development' kick butt!
Do me a favor? Download "everyday people" by A.D and tell me what you think...
There are many artists who rap about positive issues...the likes of Talib Kweli,Lauryn Hill,Common,The Roots and so on...just keep this in mind..ANYTHING commercial will have some sh!t in it coz its got to sell...feel me?My hoe this,my rims that,my gun this,my money that,my grills this,my bling that...aint nuthin but some bull-ish if ya ask me...
