How can I find which hospital is better for a baby that had complications at birth? The hospitals are Rockford Memorial of Rockford Illinois and Meriter Of Madison, WI.

If you have a child with complications, I would try Children's Hospital, because they deal specifically with children instead of adults. I had an open heart surgery when I was 18 months old at Children's Hospital, and they did a very good job.
If you can't go to Children's Hospital, and have to decide between those two hospitals, I would probably call the hospital and find out more information about it-like, who the best doctor is for your child's health problems, that sort of thing. You could also look up the hospital's name online and find info that way, or call your insurance company and ask them if they know anything about the hospitals that you mentioned.
Another good hospital is Duke University Hospital in NC.

Any Childrens Hospital Regional Medical center is the best place. My son was born 11 weeks early and almost died at birth and the care he received at Children's Hospital (Also called Childrens Miracle Network) in Seattle was the difference between him having severe problem and having none. He has no delays because of being born so early.

I think it depends on what types of specialists you are looking for. I would definitely start with Children's Hospitals though. Was your baby born premature? Good luck with your search and I hope you find the best place for your baby.

The best children's hospital in the nation is St Jude's in mephis tenn.
But any children's hopital can help you and if they can't they will find someone who can.
