It takes time. There use to be less latinos and African Americans in movies, now there are a lot more. The same thing will happen to Asians one day, they just got a late start and not as many have gone into acting compare to other groups for the time being.

I think it's because Hollywood still looks at Asians only marketable for certain types of roles, and the studios who are in the business of making money are reluctant to take the chance on it.
Personally I would love to see a movie about some modern Asian American kid born in the USA who speaks perfect, unaccented English, grew up in an All-American town, gets bad grades in school, is always in trouble with the law, grows up to become this huge iconic rock star figure, and gets just as messed up as everyone other kid does who gets too much too fast. No martial arts, no sai-wielding ninja babes, no Yakusas, no wiz kid math geniuses... Just a really cool story about a kid that just happens to be an Asian American portrayed as a normal (but not boring) person.

Age.
If they were young and sexy then they might be on their way to being headliners like Tom Cruise or Julia Roberts, but to be A listed you have to start out young and sexy. And Jackie Chan is actually A listed because of his comedy work. He is just not the serious leading man. If you folowed his career then you would see that his fighting style set his acting style as well. He is a comedian first and an actor second.

That will change as those actors you mentioned are paving the way for more opportunites. In the meantime, there is a lot of Asian cinema worth watching that is not Americanized and can be better too,

I don't think it's difficult. If you wanna get famous in Hollywood, just start out small. Like joining theaters in your local area or country. Maybe tourists would come and they could appreciate your talent. That's when your big break starts.

There aren't as many roles that require Aisian people.
Some TV shows have a token Aisian.
They just need one for diversity.

Discrimination....It's everywhere.
In Showbiz, they see Asians more like stunt men
rather than actors.
