Yes, straight people are the ones who generally have male/female sex so of course that's where the births come from.
It's not what I'd call Karma, but it is a sure way for those who lack compassion, to be able to build it. To see your most loved experience the hatred they once put out for others is a lesson in spiritual growth.
It happens with other situations too. Look around you and you'll see it.

No. I'm a fence-sitter in the nature/nurture debate, meaning that I don't believe either is fully responsible.
I know that if I had been raised differently by my parents (or by more accepting parents), I would be much less vehemently gay than I am and much closer to bisexual. Since my parents (mainly my mother, but my father just kind of followed behind her) prescribed so many behavioral rules for me that it eventually got ridiculous, I just stopped paying attention to them entirely. This pissed her off, so I started actively behaving in a way to antagonize her.
I don't know why people haven't realized yet that telling a kid how bad something is is a surefire way to get them to do it.
So I'm a flamer partly just to spite my mom. Of course, I would still be pretty queer anyhow...

I don't know if I would call it karma, but it would be weird if you were a homophobe and you gave birth to a gay person. Interesting.

lol...that was good...could be...it's sad though, i'd hate to hear the parent saying they hate their child b/c they are gay!! that would be f***ed up
actually, i dont know how homophobia is a real phobia...how can somebody be afraid of someone b/c of what they like...tell me does that make any sense to u? it like saying "he likes strawberry icecream so now im deathly afraid of him b/c i dont like strawberry icecream" it's the same exact thing with straight ppl who are homophobic! Dont tell me ur afraid of a guy b/c he likes other guys, u just dont like the guy for that reason, which is still not a legit reason to dislike a person!!
but what can u do, i guess what ever is said wont change their minds, they are just ignorant!

What I thought was sad was about 10 years ago when a lesbian couple had ones legitimate birth daughter taken away by its maternal grandmother. The Grandmother told the judge she didn't think it was a "good environment" for her granddaughter to be raised in. However, someone in court brought up the fact, that the GRANDMOTHER HAD ALREADY RAISED ONE LESBIAN and did the court want to have her raise another?
She still won custody.

Probably its mostly genetics, but it does seem that kids turn out to be the opposite of what the parent hopes for. I have a bigot uncle whose daughter is having a black man's baby. That seems like karma.

I guess I'm sort of guilty. I have a lesbian daughter that I love very much. I wouldn't describe myself as a homophobe though because that would mean I fear homosexuals. I used to indulge in jokes and humor concerning gays until it hit home with my daughter. She informed me of her sexual preference when she was 17. I wasn't that surprised though because she was quite a tomboy when growing up.

Then what about the homophobes with straight kids? Are they just getting theirs in some other way?

I think gays are becoming more popular due to the increase in gay childrens cartoons. The wiggles, Barney, and nobody can possibly say the Blue's Clues guy wasn't a fudge packer! Back in my day, we watched army men and giant robots bombing eachother, nowadays it is a bunch of gay guys saying "Hey, kids, who wants to see my big purple dinosaur.."
