Are the iPod earbud attachments any good?

Those things that clip onto the ipod earbuds that suppose to make it sound better are they any good? Are they worth the $19.99?

They don't make it sound better, feel free to get something cheaper.

In fact, they're a dead giveway that you've got an expensive POS in your pocket, making you a prime target for thieving. Then again, that's the price you pay for "fashion".

I've put a pair of Optimus buds though hell over the past six years, and they sound as good as the day I bought them.
