When cutting meat during a meal, do you hold the knife in the left hand or the right hand?

I'm pretty sure that the proper way to cut meat is to cut it with the knife in your right hand.
Once the meat has been cut, put down the knife & move the fork into your right hand before picking up a piece of meat and putting it into your mouth.

The knife in your right hand , even if you are left handed. The fork in your right.
If you eat in Europe, you keep the fork in the left hand, in the USA you swap the fork to your right after cutting.

Right hand because I am right handed. Would be better if I could learn to cut with my left because that would save me from switching the knife and fork.

In proper ol' Britian, its the fork in your left hand and the knife in your right. Any good school child with show you and nark on you at the table in front of mum and dad if you make a mistake and use your fork for 'cutting' the meat AND poking it!

the right hand coz i'm a right handed person ........so it depends if 're a left handed person you'd hold the knife in the left hand .
