Are you breast or bottle feeding? If you are breastfeeding you need to be careful about what you are eating because a lot of foods that give you gas will also give the baby gas because it gets passed through the milk. Try Mylicon gas drops (the store brands are cheaper and exactly the same), and you can try putting a warm, dry cloth on baby's tummy. If you are feeding formula check with the baby's doctor about a possible dairy sensitivity or allergy. Try the same treatments as above.

Before I answer this question you need to talk to your dr. and find a reason for the stomach pain. The reason I say that is I spent the first 2 1/2 months of my 9 month old's life trying to answer that same question. My daughter's tummy pain was caused by food allergies. It took us that long to find out the allergy (b/c it is rare) and to find a formula that works. The illusive allergy is corn which is in almost every baby formula. So far according to the allergy tests she is allergic to wheat, corn, rice, and blueberries. And she has reflux which can cause tummy discomfort. Rule out an allergy and talk to your dr.

well i have a lot of experience in this department! i have 3 little ones of my own. is your child vomiting?and if so is it often?the reason i ask is because when my middle child was born he was fine until about a month later he was real sick all the time i went from Doctor to Doctor and they all said the same thing. so i tried once more come to find out if i had not brought him in when i did he would of died. he had pyloric stenoses. but if it's nothing real bad and your child is not vomiting all the time it just might be gas give him/her baby gas drops you can get them at walmart in the off brand they work just the same.and try to move the child's legs in a bicycle motion or back and forth from the stomach down and keep repeating. try to burp the baby and who knows you might have a colicky baby if this happens often and their is really nothing you can do about that.

My pediatritian told me that mylicon can sometimes act as a laxative therefore causing stomach cramps instead of helping the gas.
With that said, my daughter has reflux and she always gets stomach aches. Holding her on her stomach seems to always do the trick when all else fails. I lay her chin on my left arm and hold her stomach in my left hand then I use my right arm to support her and my left arm. She likes the pressure on her tummy.
Give that a try, your baby might like it. I hope I gave you a good enough description that you can visualize and try it.
Hope that helps. Good luck!

You mean your baby has gas? Give her Mylicon gas relief for babies, just follow the right dosage with your baby's age. We Filipinos apply "Aciete de Manzanilla" to our baby's tummy for them to feel better. Check out some Asian store near you, better if it's a Filipino store, they surely have it.

put their back against your stomach, hold their legs up (like in a sitting position) support legs with one hand and hold their body to yours with a hand on their belly (lightly). you then swing you and baby side to side gently, but a little fast. my doctor taught me this when baby had lots of gas. it calmed him down and he passed the gas he had to pass. or lay the baby on their tummy and rub their back so as to put gentle pressure on their tummy.
