I would go to your doc. & get a check-up.
It would be difficult to diagnose your symptoms without any test being done.
You want to find out what's normal for you.
Sometimes athletes lose their period due to loss of body fat.

This is called secondary amenorrhea. (If a girl never gets periods to begin with, that is called primary amenorrhea.)
Although many factors can cause a missed period, amenorrhea for 14 months is not normal, and it must be thoroughly investigated and treated. While it is true that stress can affect the delicate balance of hormones involved in ovulation and regular cycles, stress is a diagnosis of exclusion; a doctor should make that conclusion only after ruling out the many other possible causes for amenorrhea. Among the things we check for are pregnancy, thyroid disease, pituitary tumor, anorexia or bulimia, excessive exercise, destruction of the uterine lining through prior overzealous D&C or infection, premature menopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome, obesity, and medications.

If you are on birth control pills, have Norplant or are receiving Depo-Provera, your lack of periods may be due to the medication and is not of concern. As I tell my patients, "It's okay to not have a period on the pill (or Norplant or Depo-Provera), but it's not okay to not have a period on your own."

If you have amenorrhea for more than six months (assuming you are NOT on hormonal contraception or pregnant), it must be investigated. That's because if you go without periods for a long time, you face increased risk for such problems as cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. Also, medical conditions that go unrecognized, like thyroid disease or a pituitary tumor, have their own complications; anorexia can be life-threatening.

There is a well-established and widely used protocol for evaluating amenorrhea that involves some simple laboratory tests and administration of a progesterone derivative to induce a period. Any gynecologist should be able to do this investigation. If you are seeing a gynecologist already and this has not been done, you may wish to see a different gynecologist or a reproductive endocrinologist.

Good for you that you have not had sex yet!

As for the pain, and not having your period... You should see a doctor. There could be something wrong down there. Talk to your mom. Have you ever had an exam? Now is a good time to start. Good luck!

While it isn't always necessary for you to have a regular period I would suggest that you talk to your mom and the Dr because of the pain you are experiencing.

Sorry hun, we really cannot help you with this. You need to see a doctor. Did you lose too much weight lately or do you do too much physical excercize. Things like that may cause you lose your period. Talk to your mother and ask her to accompany you to the doctor. You are supposed to see one anyway at your age. Good luck to you
