This is an extremely weak genre for creativity or any sort of redeeming merit. Mostly a huge waste of time to watch.

Congratulations, captain Obvious, you managed to get what most of the movie going public has missed.
I hate horror movies because they aren't scary. They are cliched, gory, and lame semblances of what used to be good storytelling.
I will admit though that the last Dawn of the Dead was one of my favourite movies, but I must say that good horror is very hard, if not impossible, to find.

well... for me, there's 3 types of horror movies :
1. the gory ones... only showing cheap zombies and blood. the example is 28th days
2. non gory, but make your heart keep beating fast. usually some scene are surprising. the example is silent hill
3. a "thinking" horror. it's horror but made the audience think more. the example is the others, sixth sense, and saw

They always were all the same. I mean, how many Freddy movies are their and they all have the same sort of theme and plot. Saw was a good movie though because it talked about what life is.

They have been since the 90's. Now they're just basically just crappy remakes or they have no plot. Saw was good though. I like psychological thrillers like Seven and Along Came a Spider.
