Play 'hide it'. Have them go into another room while you hide something. Then have them look for it. If one child is close, tell him/her 'you're getting warm', or if it's right under their nose tell him/her ' you're getting hot'. If one is too far away from it, say 'you're getting cold'. Whoever finds the object first gets to hide it.

To make it easy for the 4 year old, hide the object in an easy spot like under a pillow or a rug.

You could have them color, or you could play a game with them. Put on some cartoons or a movie you could also try by playing with them for an hour and a half outside. This will tire them out and then they will be calm enough to sit and watch a movie until their parents get home. When you play outside play something that will wear them out like tag or hide and seek. I hope you find thid very helpful.

simple card games like Go Fish, Crazy 8s are fun. Puzzles with less than 25 pieces. Playdough but that is messy

Arts and Crafts are always fun especially if you can find some without the mess (ex: coloring but not painting)

play some games with them, see what they are doing and ask if you can play
you can also color, read to them or stuff like that. try to avoid the tv, that's an easy thing to do but you should do other things
